Kyocera’s ruggedized DuraForce Pro smartphone is finally making its way to T-Mobile after being available on the other three major carriers for some time. That normally wouldn’t be news, but the smartphone is bringing a new feature with it — a heads-up display mode in the camera.
The new Action Overlay mode will allow users to record video with the HUD showing a number of different data points like speed, distance traveled, G-force, altitude, elapsed time, and date stamp. Other than the camera, the DuraForce Pro is your standard “tough” phone; IP68 rated it can withstand extreme temperatures, drops, and dust.
Here are the specs:
- 5-inch HD display
- Android 6 Marshmallow
- 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor
- 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage
- 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera
- 3240mAh battery, fingerprint sensor
The Kyocera DuraForce Pro is available for $425 or $17 a month from T-Mobile today.
